UNBECOMING is a queer social horror that begins where many coming-of-age films end: in the final stage of its protagonist’s awakening. Moses Hunt has already shed his conservative background, gained an education, and is in the midst of realizing monogomy and marriage aren’t for him. He’s designing a life free from the normative expectations of others, and is thus representative of a particularly queer perspective.

But the world can’t quite let him get away with it.
